- Soldier Serhii Levenets (call sign Sirko) was killed on November 22, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Ploshchanka in the Luhansk region. At the beginning of November, the defender turned 44 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Sakhnovshchyna, Kharkiv region. He obtained secondary specialized education. He was a farmer. He got married. He had many plans for life. He wished that his relatives and loved ones would live in a free country. That is why he could not remain on the sidelines when the Russian-Ukrainian war began. In 2015-2016, the man fought in the ATO in Donbas, he was an artilleryman of the 93rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, he returned to civilian life. In 2018, a son was born to the couple, whom Serhii adored and tried to teach everything. For the sake of his loved ones and a peaceful future, Serhii took up arms for the second time on February 24, 2022, when the full-scale war began. He joined the ranks of the 125th battalion of the 113th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the mortar battery. "My husband is a true patriot of his country. In 2015-2016, he voluntarily took up the defense of his Motherland, was a participant in hostilities. On February 24, 2022, he was one of the first to go to the military registration and enlistment office, without waiting for a summons. In the evening of that day, he was already defending Kharkiv from the invaders, and then - Kharkiv region, Donetsk region, Luhansk region, where his path ended. For 9 months, he defended the country and his people. He gave the most valuable thing - his life," the warrior's wife said. "Cheerful and welcoming, sincere and kind, responsible, always ready to help," the community noted. Serhii was buried in his native village. At home, his wife Alla and son Nazар were waiting for him. Posthumously, soldier Serhii Levenets was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
