- Junior Lieutenant Serhii Lozko (call sign Loza) died on June 25, 2023 near the village of Pryvilla in the Donetsk region. While repelling an enemy assault, he came under mortar fire and sustained fatal injuries. The officer was now forever 40 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Yemilchyne, Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Nizhyn State University named after Mykola Gogol and obtained a degree in mathematics teaching. He spent a lot of time designing modular furniture. During the pandemic, in 2020, he moved to Kyiv. For the last two years, he worked as a manager in a pet store chain. During the full-scale invasion, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended the Motherland in the ranks of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozkyi. "Serhii was an incredible person! Very honest, sincere, calm. A good son, a faithful friend and the best husband. He was a true patriot, loved to delve into political topics, defended his political views, supported national ideas and the native language. We lived together for so little, only two years, but this time was the best, we cherished every minute. With Serhii, I always felt comfort, protection and genuine love. He protected me from everything. When he was at 'zero', he did not tell the whole truth about the horrors, but on the contrary, calmed and encouraged me. Which even annoyed me a little, but he just wanted to create a better world for me. That's why he went to defend our country and our family," his wife Anna said. Serhii was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, brother and wife. The warrior was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, 3rd degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
