- Senior Sergeant Serhiy Nazarov was killed on September 7, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Sukhy Stavok in the Kherson region. The fighter was 40 years old. Serhiy was born in the town of Znamianka Druha in the Kirovohrad region. After school, he graduated from the Kremenchuk Railway Technical School and became a track master. He worked a lot and always tried to provide for his family. In his free time, he loved spending time with his relatives, especially with his children. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Serhiy fought against the enemy in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a senior mechanic-driver in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after the Cossack Ataman Kosty Hordiienko. "It is incredibly difficult to talk about Serhiy Oleksandrovych Nazarov because he saved the lives of many, but at the cost of his own. The Warrior of Light shielded others with his tank and himself and saved more than one comrade. Our hearts are heavy with pain. Serhiy Nazarov in battle a true hero; the heads of his comrades are bowed, and the sky weeps. He loved his family, life, and Ukraine immensely. The Heavenly Army welcomes a comrade whom the military are proud of, whom his relatives mourn, and whom everyone will remember. I express my heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones; in our hearts, there is eternal sorrow," it is noted on the page of Znamianka's mayor, Volodymyr Sokyrka. "He was fair, loved children, and was respected at work," said the sister of the deceased, Svitlana. The defender was buried in his hometown. Serhiy is survived by his mother, two sisters, a wife, and two children.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
