Serhii O. Savchenko (Azart)

Savchenko Serhii Oleksandrovych was born on May 19, 1987 in Mariupol. In 2005, he graduated from Mariupol Secondary School I-III degrees No. 21, and in 2006 - Mariupol Higher Metallurgical Vocational School, obtaining the qualification of a repair mechanic, manual electric welder. He worked in his specialty. In 2017, he signed a contract with the National Guard of Ukraine, obtained the qualification of a demining sapper. In 2020, he resigned from the NGU after the completion of the contract and in the same year he concluded a new contract - with the separate special purpose detachment "Azov". He served in the 1st operational battalion of the OSSP "Azov", and from January 2021 he moved to the engineering and sapper company of the OSSP "Azov", holding the position of senior sapper. In 2022, as part of the OSSP "Azov", he participated in the defense of Mariupol. He was killed on March 29, 2022 while performing combat missions in Mariupol, Donetsk region.
