- 31-year-old soldier Serhiy Serdiuk was killed in action on July 25, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Semihirya in Donetsk region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy tank fire. Serhiy was born in the village of Sokytske, Poltava region. In 2006, he graduated from the 9th grade of the Klyushnykivska school. Later, he moved with his family to the village of Voronky, Poltava region. He stuwas killed in action at the Poltava Professional College named after Andriy Chepiga. For some time, he worked in a circus as a chapiteau. In the last 4 years, he was engaged in the installation and arrangement of children's and sports grounds in Kyiv. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took part in battles for Kyiv region, and then went with his unit to other directions. "More than anything in the world, Serhiy loved his family, loved life. He showed me what a real man should be, and I will pass this on to my sons. He was the best husband, a reliable friend, a good son and brother. He always helped everyone who asked. He always did everything with a clear conscience and strived for perfection. Without military experience - he did not serve in the army, on the first day of the war he became a volunteer in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Who, if not us," he said. He was a fearless warrior of his Fatherland," said the deceased's wife, Iryna. Serhiy was buried in his native village. At home, his parents, sister, wife, and three sons were waiting for the warrior. Posthumously, soldier Serhiy Serdiuk was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree. A street in his native village was renamed in honor of the hero.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
