Serhii O. Zherzhevskyi (Zhorzh)

Zherzhevskyy Serhiy Oleksandrovych was born on December 24, 1987, in the village of Shyshkan (Moldova). He lived in the Rozkishnensky rural council of the Kirovohrad region. He participated in the liberation of the cities of Popasna, Lysychansk and Kurakhove in the summer of 2014. In the battle for the city of Ilovaisk, he was captured by terrorists along with his comrades-in-arms. On December 26, 2014, he was released from captivity. In February 2022, Serhiy joined the "Svoboda" battalion. He took an active part in the liberation of the city of Irpin in the Kyiv region, as well as in the defense of the cities of Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk in the Luhansk region. He was killed on June 6, 2022, as a result of enemy artillery shelling during the defense of the city of Sievierodonetsk. He was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv.
