Serhii P. Arkhypkin (Khrip)

Sergeant Serhii Arkhypkin (call sign Khrip) was killed on September 27, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Lobkove in the Zaporizhzhia region. The warrior was 36 years old. Serhii was a native of Zaporizhzhia. He obtained the profession of electronics engineer at the Zaporizhzhia Engineering Academy. He worked as a water management technician at FitHaus LLC. He was fond of football and was a member of the FC Metalurh fan club. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the man decided to defend the Motherland from the Russian occupiers. At the end of March, he joined the ranks of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior rifleman. He fought in the Zaporizhzhia direction. "Serhii was a very good man, a wonderful father and a kind son, and most importantly, he was and is a true best friend to many. His love and support remained with us until the end," said his wife. The defender was buried in the cemetery of St. Nicholas in his native Zaporizhzhia. Serhii is survived by his parents Petro Vasylovych and Nina Andriivna, his wife Maryna, daughter Mariia, and son Oleksandr.
