Serhii P. Moroz (Miekh)

Serhii Petrovych Moroz was born on October 13, 1993, in the city of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi in the Cherkasy region. He first studied at the local school No. 5. After the 9th grade, he entered the Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi Professional Agrarian Lyceum and obtained the specialty of tractor driver. He studied at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. From the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine in 2022, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His unit was stationed on the defense of the Kyiv region, and the soldier himself took part in international military exercises. He served as a senior soldier, an anti-aircraft gunner in the anti-aircraft missile battery of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He was killed on July 29, 2022, during a missile strike near the village of Kodema in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region. He was buried with honors in the village of Harbuzyn, Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi district, Cherkasy region.
