Serhii P. Mykhailov (Kinder)

Senior soldier Serhii Mykhailov (call sign Kinder) was killed on March 25, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission. The defender was with his unit near the village of Dibrova in the Luhansk region when their positions came under artillery fire. Serhii was 36 years old. He was born in Kyiv. From childhood, he was interested in sports, particularly football and hand-to-hand combat. He graduated from the National Academy of Internal Affairs. In civilian life, he worked at the private enterprise "Komservis-Bezpeka". On February 24, 2022, together with his brother, he gathered a team of patriotic like-minded people and joined the ranks of the 112th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He held the position of a machine gunner. He participated in the liberation of the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. He was wounded. "Serhii was a person with a big kind heart. He loved life, had a great sense of humor, and many friends. We met him when he was 17. And Serhii kept our love until his death... He was happy about the birth of his daughter and was always proud of her. He was a caring son and respected his parents," said his wife Daryna Bohdanova. The defender was buried in Kyiv. Serhii is survived by his parents, wife, and daughter. Posthumously, the defender was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
