Serhii P. Rudyi (Dok)

Soldier Serhii Rudyi was killed on July 26, 2023 near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained a fatal mine-explosive injury. The warrior was 44 years old. Serhii was born in the city of Busk, Lviv region. He studied at the Busk Gymnasium named after Yevhen Petrushevych. He then graduated from the Kharkiv State Academy of Railway Transport. He lived in Lviv. He worked at the construction company "FTP". During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Mahura". He was a rifleman-medic of the assault platoon of the assault company. "Serhii was a wonderful person. Despite a difficult life and fate, he always remained positive. He was a loyal friend and loving father. He was always the first to come to help. He had a keen sense of justice and patriotism. He made a lot of effort to accelerate our victory," said the deceased's friends Ihor and Iryna Fedyvy. The defender was buried in the cemetery in his native Busk next to his mother's grave. Serhii left behind a daughter Anastasia, son Maksym, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
