Serhii S. Chuchyn (Lifter)

Soldier Serhii Chuchyn (call sign Lifter) died on October 6, 2023 in a battle with the occupants in the area of the village of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region. The warrior was 35 years old. Serhii was from the village of Veselie, Donetsk region. He obtained the profession of a physical education teacher at the Donetsk Institute of Health, Physical Education and Sports. He lived in Khmilnytskyi. He worked at the "Smart Lift" company, which is why he received his call sign. His last job was private security in Kyiv. With the beginning of the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the separate special forces unit "Liubarta". He was a driver-scout, a gunner. He defended the Kyiv, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. "I am the former wife of the deceased, we have a common daughter Zlata, for whom he wanted to do his best. Serhii was a wonderful and sincere person, he never refused to help, and that's what he did at the front. He completed his task, but his comrade broke his arm and Serhii went to the machine gun instead of him. He was a true patriot of his country, a loving father, a faithful friend. There are not enough words to describe everything I want to tell about Serhii!" - said Svitlana Oliinyk. Serhii was buried in his native village of Veselie. He is survived by his parents, daughter, relatives, close ones, friends and comrades-in-arms. The warrior was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
