- Born on June 26, 1978, in the city of Mykolaiv to a military family. In 1993, he graduated from the 9th grade of general education school No. 32 in Mykolaiv, and in 1995 - from the school of midshipmen at the Mykolaiv Shipbuilding Institute (now - Mykolaiv Maritime Lyceum named after Professor M. Aleksandrov). In 1995-1996, he studied at the Ukrainian State Maritime Technical University (now - National University of Shipbuilding named after Admiral Makarov, Mykolaiv). Since 1996, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2000, he graduated from the Odessa Institute of Ground Forces. Since 2000, he served in the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0224, Mykolaiv). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Granite". The consolidated unit of the company-tactical group of the 2nd battalion of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade, under the command of Major Kryvonosov, despite constant shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, held its positions on height 185 near the village of Dibrivka in the Shakhtarsk district of Donetsk region for a month and carried out the assigned tasks regarding the protection of the State border. On August 4, 2014, around 02:00, Major Kryvonosov was killed while covering his subordinates during shelling from the Russian Federation using BM-21 "Grad" multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian troops on height 185 ("Granite") near the village of Dibrivka in the Shakhtarsk district. On August 6, 2014, he was buried at the Alley of Glory in the Central Cemetery of Mykolaiv. By the decree of the President of Ukraine No. 916/2014 dated December 4, 2014, for exceptional courage and self-sacrifice shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, Major Serhiy Serhiyovych Kryvonosov was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star. On January 23, 2015, the deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council decided to name general education school No. 32 in Mykolaiv after Serhiy Kryvonosov. In April 2015, Ukrposhta continued the release of a series of artistic stamped envelopes titled "Glory to the Heroes!", initiated in December 2014 for the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard of Ukraine. One of the envelopes features Hero of Ukraine, Major Serhiy Kryvonosov. In the city of Kyiv, on the territory of the National Defense University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi (28 Povitroflotskyi Avenue), a stele was erected for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who were awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine," among whom is the name of Serhiy Kryvonosov. On May 6, 2016, in the city of Mykolaiv, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the facade of general education school No. 32 (1 Oberihova Street), where Serhiy Kryvonosov studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
