Serhii S. Lysenko

Born on March 14, 1985, in the city of Sumy. Graduated from a general education school. Lived in the village of Chernechchyna, Krasnopil District, Sumy Region. On May 17, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Krasnopil-Trostyanets District Military Commissariat of Sumy Region. He served as a squad commander in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit V0425, cities of Sumy/Konotop/Hlukhiv, Sumy Region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 3, 2016, around 12:30, while on duty at a checkpoint near the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk Region, Junior Sergeant Lysenko felt unwell. After receiving first aid, he was sent to the hospital in the city of Toretsk, Donetsk Region. During the transportation of the serviceman, emergency medical measures were taken, which were unsuccessful. Junior Sergeant Lysenko died on the way to the hospital. He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Hryazne, Krasnopil District, Sumy Region.
