Serhii S. Marin

Soldier Serhii Marin (call sign Psykh) died on September 1, 2022 near the village of Ivanivka in Odesa region. During military service, the warrior's health deteriorated, which led to cardiac arrest. The defender was 46 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Tsebrikove in Odesa region. He had a higher education, which he obtained at the Odesa National Maritime University. He worked as a docker-mechanic in the port of Pivdennyi. In his free time, he was engaged in growing roses. He loved football. During the full-scale invasion, he defended the Motherland in the ranks of the 126th separate brigade of the territorial defense. For his service in 2022, Serhii Marin was awarded a certificate of honor on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine and the honorary award of the mayor of Yuzhne "For merits to the city" (posthumously). "Serhii is the most wonderful person, a caring son, husband, father, and the best friend," his wife Nataliia said. The defender was buried in Yuzhne, Odesa region. Serhii is survived by his mother, son, and wife.
