Serhii S. Paryhin (Tykhyi)

25-year-old senior sergeant Serhiy Parahyn (call sign Tyhyi) was killed in action on April 25, 2022, near the village of Hrakove in the Kharkiv region. During the execution of a combat mission, a car with a group of Ukrainian defenders was blown up on an enemy mine. Serhiy was born in the urban-type settlement of Kranokutsk, Kharkiv region. He completed 9 classes of the local school No. 2. He received the profession of an electric arc welder at the Kranokutsk Professional Agrarian College. Later he graduated from the Kharkiv Automobile Technical College and received the profession of a mechanic. He worked at the Parchomivsky sugar factory as an electric arc welder. He loved his job very much, was fond of cars, technology, fishing, and making various metal products. Since 2017, he served under a contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended Ukraine in the area of the Joint Forces Operation on Donbas. After the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, Serhiy joined the ranks of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Koshovyi Otaman Ivan Sirko. He was a sapper in the reconnaissance platoon. During his service, Serhiy was repeatedly awarded, in particular, he was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree. "Brother left us. I still can't believe that you're not with us in this moment of life. Our grief is boundless, but in our memory, you live forever. We love and remember you," wrote the fallen brother Mykhailo. "Time does not heal and does not heal wounds... A low bow and eternal memory to you, our dear angel. We love, mourn, remember. You are forever in our hearts," added Serhiy's parents. "My beloved, you did everything. I feel your support. May you sleep soundly, like on the shore of the sea, sweetly, like in a coniferous forest, and peacefully, like in childhood. You, my beloved, are a Hero. Bright memory to you, Quiet. I miss you very much...," noted the fallen wife Natalia. The warrior was buried in his native village. Serhiy is survived by his parents Serhiy and Alina, brother Mykhailo, wife Natalia, and children Nazar and Sofia.
