Serhii S. Samodurov (Metr)

Serviceman Serhii Samodurov (call sign Meter) was killed on November 11, 2023, during shelling while evacuating the wounded in the area of the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. He did not live to see his 20th birthday, which was less than a month away - December 3. He was from the Kharkiv region. He studied at the Vovchansk Medical College and graduated with honors as a paramedic. He fought as part of the 4th Border Guard Unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, where he held the position of a 3rd category border guard inspector and a medical instructor. He received a certificate "For a significant personal contribution to ensuring the inviolability of Ukraine, conscientious performance of official duties, a high sense of patriotism, diligence and high professionalism in the performance of tasks." "Serhii was a very good person. Brave, courageous, purposeful, sensitive," said his girlfriend Daria Kozyavina about the fallen soldier. Serhii was buried in the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18 in Kharkiv. He is survived by his mother, sister, brother, stepfather, and girlfriend.
