Serhii S. Stadnychenko

Senior Lieutenant Serhii Stadnychenko was killed on January 15, 2023 near the village of Berestove in the Donetsk region during enemy mortar and tank shelling. The defender was 31 years old. Serhii was born in the city of Horodok, Khmilnytskyi region. He studied at Horodok School No. 2. He graduated from the National Transport University. In 2015-2017, he participated in the ATO as part of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He fought in the Donetsk region. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Serhii served in the security company of his hometown. Later, he took the position of platoon commander of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On November 15, 2022, he went to the front. "He studied well, was sociable. He always came to help. He was sensitive, kind, cheerful. A source of pride for his parents. He was a loving son, a reliable friend, a support for his sister. He dreamed of returning and starting a family with his beloved, but unfortunately it was not meant to be. He was a golden person in the full sense of the word! Eternal memory to the Hero!" - wrote Lilia Rudnitska, a close friend of the mother of the fallen. Serhii was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in his hometown. The warrior is survived by his parents, sister, and beloved girlfriend. The officer was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the III degree.
