Serhii S. Tarasiuk

Fighter Serhiy Tarasyuk was killed on October 1, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the village of Bilohirka in the Kherson region. The defender was 35 years old. Serhiy was born and lived in the city of Varash in the Rivne region. He stu at Varash Lyceum No. 3. He then graduated from the vocational technical school of the State Enterprise "Rivne Nuclear Power Plant." He worked as a driver. During the full-scale Russian invasion in April 2022, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Serhiy served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. He was a gunner - radio telephone operator of the engineering-sapper company of the engineering support group. "You a hero, completing a combat mission and saving your 19-year-old driver. You covered him with your body and saved him at the cost of your own life," said a comrade of the fallen. "Seryi, Malyi, Tarasyuk... Honest, kind, sincere, somewhat naive and a little sad... You could always rely on you and talk. We shared the pain of loss and memories... And now you leave an even deeper pain," friends add. "You will live forever in our memory. Beautiful and kind… Always young... With the sun's smile on your brave face... Glory to the Hero! Sleep, Seryik, sleep…” relatives note. The serviceman was buried in the village of Stara Rafalivka in the Rivne region. Serhiy is survived by his parents, brother, sister, relatives, and friends.
