- Soldier Serhii Vladiko (call sign Batiya) was killed in action on June 5, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the city of Izium in the Kharkiv region. The warrior was 32 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Dubove, Dnipropetrovsk region. He lived in the village of Verbivka. He stu at the Shakhtarska secondary school. Then, at the Synelnykove lyceum No. 38, he mastered the profession of a car inspector. He was sent to the park of the Nizhnedniprovska-Vuzol station for practical training. There, after graduation, he began his career. In 2007, he was drafted into military service in the 1039th separate anti-aircraft missile regiment, where he received the military specialty of an operator-gunner. Since 2008, he worked as a car inspector-repairman in the operational car depot Nizhnedniprovska-Vuzol of the Prydniprovska Railway. In his free time, he loved to fish and was fond of cars. On March 8, 2022, Serhii was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". He was an operator of the 1st anti-aircraft missile platoon of the 1st anti-aircraft missile battery of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division. He took part in the defense of the Kharkiv region. "A gentle, caring father and husband, Serhii will remain in our memory. He was a true lover of life, a passionate fisherman, and a skilled driver. We love and miss him very much," said the wife of the deceased. Serhii was buried in his native village. At home, his mother Viktoria, father Serhii, wife Anna, daughter Veronika, who was 9 years old at the time of her father's death, brother, and sisters were waiting for him.
