Serhii V. Bahno (Baggi)

Junior Sergeant Serhii Bahno (call sign Baggi) was killed on June 2, 2023 near the settlement of Katerynivka in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy shelling. The warrior was 24 years old. Serhii was born in the city of Okhtyrka, Sumy region. After finishing school, he obtained the profession of tractor driver-mechanic at the Bohodukhiv Vocational and Technical Lyceum. He served his conscription military service, and later decided to remain in the army, so he signed a contract. At the time of the full-scale Russian invasion, Serhii served in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He was part of the self-propelled artillery division. "Serhii was and remained a loving son, the best brother, a true friend and comrade. He was a true warrior, a man of his word, a man of courage, an example of indomitability and strength of spirit. We are extremely proud of him, his patriotism and indomitability," said the deceased's sister Anastasiia. The artilleryman was buried on the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in his hometown. At home, Serhii was awaited by his mother, older sister, and younger brother.
