- Sergiy Viktorovych Bilyi was born on November 30, 1988, in the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. From the first days of the large-scale military aggression of the Russian Federation, Sergiy Bilyi voluntarily helped in volunteer organizations to collect food, medical supplies, hygiene products, and clothing for the defenders of Ukraine and citizens affected by the military aggression of the Russian Federation. In January 2023, Sergiy made the decision to defend his homeland and was called up for military service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. In early February 2023, soldier Sergiy Bilyi was assigned to the border service department No. 2 of the 3rd border detachment of the State Border Guard Service, which was carrying out combat missions in the area of the village of Fedorivka in Donetsk region. Despite combat losses, continuous enemy artillery shelling of positions, and the advance of superior enemy forces, Sergiy Bilyi courageously and heroically performed his combat tasks. On February 19, 2023, for a whole day, the occupiers shelled the strongholds in the area of the village of Fedorivka with artillery and tanks. The border guards, supported by aerial reconnaissance, struck the enemy with machine guns, grenade launchers, and mortars. The occupiers began a mortar shelling of the positions of the company stronghold "Buntar-01," where soldier Sergiy Bilyi defended alongside his comrades. During the shelling, Sergiy sustained serious injuries. Despite all efforts to save his life, his injuries were incompatible with life. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, soldier Sergiy Viktorovych Bilyi was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
