- Bondarev Serhiy Valeriyovych was born on August 11, 1976, in Cherkasy. In 1995, he graduated from the Cherkasy Polytechnic College. On May 6, 2022, Senior Soldier Serhiy Bondarev joined the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine by mobilization. After appropriate training, the serviceman was dispatched to the front. From June to July 2022, Serhiy Bondarev and his fellow border guards, as part of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, carried out combat and reconnaissance missions in the combat zone in the Donetsk region. Starting in July 2022, during the rotation of personnel, he performed tasks in the areas of the border detachments within the Vinnytsia and Chernihiv regions. Since January 10, 2023, Serhiy Bondarev has been serving in one of the key directions in the Luhansk region according to combat orders. Despite constant mortar and artillery shelling that the enemy inflicted on Ukrainian positions in the area of the village of Raygorodka in the Luhansk region, Senior Soldier Serhiy Bondarev bravely and heroically fulfilled all combat tasks. On February 2, 2023, after receiving a combat order, a group of servicemen, which included Senior Soldier Bondarev, departed for the area of the platoon stronghold No. 42 near the village of Raygorodka in the Svatove district of the Luhansk region to conduct artillery reconnaissance of the terrain. While proceeding to the designated location, Serhiy Bondarev stepped on a mine of an unspecified type and sustained multiple shrapnel wounds incompatible with life. For his personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for his loyalty to military oath, Senior Soldier Bondarev Serhiy Valeriyovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
