Serhii V. Cherednychenko

Soldier Serhiy Cherednychenko was killed on September 7, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Udi in the Kharkiv region. The warrior was 32 years old. Serhiy was born in the city of Selydiv, Donetsk region. He graduated from the Selydiv Mining Technical School. He worked in a mine. He then moved to Kryvyi Rih, where he got a job as a fitter at the Southern Mining and Processing Plant. He lived, worked, and made plans for the future. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Serhiy was mobilized into the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 12th Separate Battalion, holding the position of a shooter-radio telephone operator. "He was my best friend; he was like a brother to me. Serhiy was a very good person, a kind friend, brother, son; he always smiled and came to help, even when it was hard for him. He will always remain a hero in our memory!" his friend Oksana said about the fallen soldier. The defender was buried in his hometown. Serhiy is survived by his mother, brother, and five nephews.
