Serhii V. Chornobai

36-year-old paratrooper Serhii Chornobai was killed on December 20, 2022, defending his native city of Kreminna in Luhansk region from the occupiers. The defender had been considered missing for a long time. Serhii was born and raised in Kreminna, Luhansk region. He studied at the local school. Then he obtained the qualification of a gas welder at a vocational school, and later the qualification of a miner at the Rubizhne vocational school. He worked as a miner in his hometown. After the start of the full-scale invasion, in April 2022, he evacuated his family to the city of Rivne. On October 31, 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 95th separate airborne assault brigade. "My husband was very cheerful and kind," said Alla Chornobai. Serhii was buried in Rivne on March 14, 2024. The warrior is survived by his parents, wife and two children.
