Serhii V. Diedyka

45-year-old senior sergeant Serhii was killedyka (call sign Tihuan) died on June 7, 2022 in a hospital in Kharkiv. He sustained severe injuries during an offensive near the village of Nova Husarivka in the Kharkiv region. Serhii was born and lived his entire life in Kharkiv. He graduated from school and a vocational school, where he obtained the profession of an automotive mechanic. In civilian life, he started his career as a simple construction worker, and over time he created his own construction business and was the director of PE "Enerhosbud". He loved to build and was passionate about cars. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion in March 2022, the man voluntarily took up arms and stood to defend his native land. He fought in the ranks of the 225th battalion of the 127th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "He always said: 'Dream, because it's the only thing in this world that doesn't cost money,'" said the wife of the fallen defender, Yulia. The hero was buried in the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18 in his hometown. At home, his parents, sister, wife and son were waiting for him. Posthumously, Serhii was killedyka was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
