Serhii V. Dubchak

48-year-old Senior Sergeant Serhii Dubchak was killed on October 27, 2023 near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy ATGM fire. Serhii was from the city of Vinnytsia. He studied at local school No. 22. Then he obtained the profession of an auto mechanic at the Vinnytsia Polytechnic College. He was a private entrepreneur - he repaired and manufactured upholstered furniture. He was passionate about his work and always tried to improve his professional skills. He also loved animals very much. They were always with him even in the war. On April 20, 2022, the man went as a volunteer to defend his native country. He served in the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a grenade launcher platoon driver. "He worthily fulfilled his duty as a defender of our state, with a sense of patriotism towards the execution of the assigned tasks, was devoted to the people of Ukraine and the constitutional duty. He showed reasonable initiative in matters related to the material and technical support of the unit, and also maintained the combat spirit of the unit by his own example. He always took care of the animals that were left homeless due to the war. Serhii was a good and loving husband, a father to our daughter Alla, a brother, an uncle to his nephews and a faithful friend," his wife Olha said. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Sabarivske cemetery in the Vinnytsia region. At home, Serhii was awaited by his parents, wife, daughter, other relatives and friends.
