Serhii V. Dunaiev

Soldier Serhii Dunaiev (call sign SVD) was killed on January 23, 2023, during a Russian shelling near the settlement of Novosilske in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 35 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Nove Pole, Zaporizhia region. He graduated from one of the higher vocational schools in Zaporizhia. Later, he moved to the Donetsk region and lived in the city of Bilozerske. He worked as the manager of the "EVA" store. In his free time, he was engaged in sports and fishing. He loved to cook dishes from the book of Hector Jimenez-Bravo "MasterChef". In October 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Koshevoy Otaman Ivan Sirko. He was a rifleman-sniper. "Serhii was honest, open, courageous, and brave. He loved our country very much and wanted to live in Ukraine, so he went, without hesitation, to defend it from the invaders!" - his wife Inna said. The defender was buried in the city of Bilozerske. He is survived by his mother, sister, and wife. Serhii Dunaiev was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
