- Soldier Serhii Fokin (call sign Liutyi) was killed on January 2, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The following month, the warrior would have turned 34 years old. Serhii was born and lived in the city of Lutsk. In 2004, he graduated from Lutsk School No. 10. In 2007, he obtained the qualification of an electrician-mechanic at the Volyn Professional College of NUFT. For many years, he worked at the German plant "Kromberg/Schubert" as a CNC machine operator. He was passionate about music, loved playing the guitar and singing. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Serhii received a summons. The next day, he went to the military enlistment office. On June 20, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 214th separate special battalion "OPFOR". He held the position of an operator of the unmanned aerial vehicle section of the fire support company platoon. In the fall, he went to the front line near Bakhmut. "Serhii loved to sing and play the guitar very much. It was his favorite activity since his school years. Both at school and in college, he was always on stage. Before the war, he bought himself a new coveted guitar, which he couldn't enjoy for long. Music accompanied him throughout his life, and even during the war, he sang for his comrades-in-arms. Serhii was a kind and sensitive person, the soul of the company - this is how everyone who knew him describes him. He was a good, loving, caring and generous son, brother, friend, godfather, and colleague. He always strived to help those who asked for it, caring and looking after his loved ones. He was a cheerful joker, and meetings with him were always accompanied by laughter. His comrades-in-arms said that he was a consolation because he joked even in difficult situations. Unfortunately, he did not have time to start his own family, which he had dreamed of after the end of the war. Rest in peace, my brother, your sunny rays will always shine in my heart," said Tetiana, the fallen warrior's sister. Serhii was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the city cemetery in the village of Harazdzha, Volyn region. He was awaited at home by his parents and younger sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
