- Battlefield medic Serhiy Havryshchuk (call sign Doc) was killed on October 31, 2022, during battles with Russian occupiers in the Kharkiv region. The defender sustained fatal injuries near the village of Orlanka. He was 21 years old. Serhiy was born in the village of Penkivka, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Zoziv Professional Agrarian Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of a refrigeration equipment repair master and electrician. He was passionate about sports, especially football. He had a driver's license. He loved speed and cars. After his conscript service in the National Guard, the young man decided to continue his service under a contract. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation. After the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, Serhiy was called up to the ranks of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He held the position of a combat medic in a platoon. "My dear Serhiyko, my support, my pillar, my universe. Always cheerful, sincere, kind, open, he had many friends, had authority among them. He always helped with the preparation of dishes... He had so many dreams for the future, but the cursed inhumans cut short his young life," said the defender's mother, Tetiana. "A hero who defended his home, family, and just wanted to live and enjoy every moment, but the ruthless war took such a young soul... He was about to turn 22, but he flew into eternity... There is nothing worse for parents than to lose a native blood in such a senseless, cruel war," said Ihor Sots, the head of the Turbiv settlement. Soldier Serhiy Havryshchuk was buried in his native village in the Vinnytsia region. He is survived by his parents and older sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
