Serhii V. Komarenko (Yuvelir)

Junior Sergeant Serhii Komarenko (call sign Jeweler) was killed on May 5, 2023, near the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 36 years old. Serhii was born in the city of Rivne. Over time, he moved to the Poltava region, and finally settled in the city of Vilnohirsk, Dnipropetrovsk region. He obtained the profession of a mechanic at the Dnipropetrovsk Polytechnic Professional College. In 2016, he participated in the ATO in Donbas, fought for Avdiivka. Then he returned to civilian life. He worked at the enterprise LLC "VAGO". During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". "Dad was proud that he was Ukrainian, so he was ready to give his life for the sake of his children and his native country," said the deceased's daughter Valeriia. The warrior was buried in the village of Riashske in the Poltava region. Serhii is survived by his mother and four daughters.
