Serhii V. Korotchenko

Korotchenko Serhii Valentynovych was born in 1986 in the village of Dibrova, Poltava district, Poltava region. From 2014, he participated in combat operations in the ATO in Eastern Ukraine. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was mobilized and was at the front as part of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade, holding the military position of gunner of the 1st airborne assault platoon. He was killed on May 6, 2022, during heavy shelling of the village of Malinivka near the city of Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia region. The farewell ceremony for the fallen serviceman took place on May 10, 2022, near the Holy Assumption Cathedral in Poltava. Serhii Korotchenko was buried on May 11, 2022, in his native village of Dibrova, Dykanska settlement community.
