Serhii V. Kudelia (Kulia)

Soldier Serhii Kudelya (call sign Kulya) was killed on January 22, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Novodarivka, Zaporizhia region. The defender was 36 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Zabolottia in Volyn. After school, he entered the Lutsk National Technical University, where he received a bachelor's degree with honors in Economics and a master's degree in Personnel Management and National Economics. He worked as a beverage distributor at LLC "North-Center LTD". He helped his parents with household chores and was an expert at driving a tractor. He loved driving and had a good understanding of cars. He was incredibly happy when he bought a car for his birthday that he earned the money for himself. He was a skilled handyman, and all his neighbors would come to him for help, and he never refused anyone. On February 28, 2023, Serhii was drafted into the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he held the position of rifleman-medic. Later, he was transferred to the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He was awarded a certificate of honor and gratitude from the command of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade and the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade. "Serhii was a wonderful person, I don't know anyone else as kind and bright. He was family, comfort, and care. He always helped, even from 500 kilometers away. When asked if he needed anything, he would say that he had everything and didn't need anything. Serhii was a believer, and on Christmas, during his last leave, we baptized our niece together. I thank God that we were able to spend this time together," said the defender's cousin Diana Bilous. The warrior was buried in the cemetery in the village of Shepel, Volyn region. Serhii is survived by his parents and older brother.
