Serhii V. Kurylo (Semen)

Serhiy Volodymyrovych Kurilo was born on July 4, 1979, in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. After finishing school, he stuwas killed at Kryvyi Rih Vocational Technical School No. 86. From 1997 to 1999, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since 1999, he worked at the enterprise "Kryvorizhstal," later holding the position of repairman at "Domnaservis" LLC. On January 31, 2005, he began working at the Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant as a miner's apprentice in the mining capital works section No. 6 of the mine construction department. From 2007 to 2011, he worked at JSC "Sukha Balka" and at "Svyiteks" LLC. Since 2011, he has been a miner in the mining capital works section of the "Hvardiyka" mine of the mine construction department. From July 31, 2014, to September 3, 2015, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. On February 25, 2022, after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, Serhiy Kurilo was mobilized to the 3rd reconnaissance section of the 2nd reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company of the 17th Separate Tank Brigade. He was killed on March 16, 2022, in the settlement of Novotoshkivske, Luhansk region. Serhiy Kurilo was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Central Cemetery in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He is survived by his wife and son.
