Serhii V. Kuzovyk (Ramazani)

Sergeant of the border service Serhii Kuzovik was killed on August 9, 2022, in battle during mortar shelling in the area of the village of Bajrak in the Kharkiv region. The 50-year-old defender received a fatal explosive injury. Serhii was born in Kyiv, graduated from a local school. Later, he stu at a construction college in Riga (Latvia) and later at the Kyiv Shipbuilding Technical School. He received higher education at the National Technical University "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky". He served in the border troops. He was extremely enthusiastic about cars, worked in the automotive business as a sales manager. He was interested in football, regularly visited the gym. He loved animals, walks in the fresh air, and communicating with friends. He was a fervent patriot, always firmly believed in Ukraine's victory. In 2014-2015, he actively participated in combat operations in the Luhansk border detachment. During that period, Serhii was awarded a certificate from the Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine and a commemorative decoration "Participant of the ATO" from the Luhansk Border Detachment. After the start of the full-scale war, in June 2022, Serhii, as part of the border rapid response commissariat of the 4th border detachment of the Eastern Regional Management of the State Border Service of Ukraine, went to defend Ukraine. He held the position of inspector of the border service of the 2nd category. "My beloved was a cheerful, kind, sincere, fair, hardworking, honest, reliable, had a great sense of humor, and many friends. He was distinguished by his household qualities, loved order in everything. He built plans for the future, always believed in Ukraine's victory, had a clear patriotic position. Extremely proud to be a border guard. Friends and comrades loved and respected him very much. He is an incredible person. It's very hard to accept the loss. My beloved is a Hero who will always live in my heart," said his beloved Yulia. The defender was buried at the Lisovyi Cemetery in Kyiv. Serhii is survived by his mother, son, and beloved.
