- Scout Sergeant Serhii Lytvynenko (call sign Fanat) was killed on April 14, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the vicinity of the village of Vyrnopillya in the Kharkiv region. The warrior was 24 years old. Serhii was born and lived in the city of Polohy, Zaporizhzhia region. He graduated from the local school. In 2016, he began defending Ukraine and served in the 53rd Mechanized Brigade. He participated in the ATO / OOS. He was awarded the President of Ukraine's distinction "For participation in the anti-terrorist operation." In addition, during his service, he received various thanks and certificates. He played football and participated in competitions on behalf of his brigade. In 2018, he enrolled in the National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic" in the specialty of "Physical Education and Sports." Four years later, he received a bachelor's degree. During the full-scale war, Serhii served in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodny Yar." From the first days, together with his comrades, he defended Kharkiv region from the occupiers. "Serhii was reliable, brave, responsible not only at work but also at home. He was not just my beloved, but my friend, comrade, my support, and encouragement. My other half. I still wake up and immediately check my phone - I'm waiting for a message from him. No matter how much time passes, I cannot accept that he is really gone. My beloved never told me about his service. When I asked, he replied: 'What's there to tell? I sleep and that's it.' In one of our last conversations, he said: 'We will definitely win this war; the only question is at what cost.' A few weeks later, my beloved husband heroically in battle," says the fallen warrior's wife. The hero was buried at the Alley of Glory cemetery in Zaporizhzhia. Serhii is survived by his wife Alyna, twin daughters Anna and Maria, father Volodymyr, sister Lyudmyla, and brothers Oleksii and Vitalii. Posthumously, Senior Sergeant Serhii Lytvynenko was awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
