Serhii V. Pasichniuk

Born on December 9, 1969, in the village of Buzivka, Zhashkiv district, Cherkasy region. Completed 8 grades of secondary school in the village of Buzivka and a technical school in the city of Tarashcha, Kyiv region, specializing as an "electrician." Served mandatory military service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR. Served in the airborne troops. After demobilization, returned to the village of Buzivka. Since 1991, worked as a teacher of the subject "Defense of the Fatherland" at Buzivka Secondary School. In 1997, graduated from Mykolaiv Pedagogical Institute. Since 1997, also taught physical education. With the onset of Russia's aggression, actively participated in volunteer work, helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In December 2014, joined a volunteer battalion and went to fight in the anti-terrorist operation zone in eastern Ukraine. On February 13, 2015, was called up by the Severodonetsk City Military Commissariat of Luhansk region to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a scout in the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit V0927, cities of Severodonetsk/Lysychansk, Luhansk region). Throughout 2015, continued to participate in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 22, 2015, Sergeant Pasichniuk was killed, detonating an enemy mine while carrying out a combat mission to scout the enemy's forward edge in the area of the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. On August 27, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Buzivka, Zhashkiv district, Cherkasy region.
