Serhii V. Priadka (Kupol)

Sergeant Serhii Priadko (call sign Kupol) was killed on February 23, 2024, near the village of Ternі in the Donetsk region. That day, he went on a combat mission but did not return. Serhii was 25 years old. He was born in the village of Andriivka, Chernihiv region. He studied at the Chernihiv Vocational Lyceum of Railway Transport, where he obtained the qualifications of a railway rolling stock repairman, an electric locomotive and diesel locomotive assistant driver. He worked as a mechanic at the Kyiv Depot. He also enrolled in the 1st year at the Zhytomyr Polytechnic University, studying for a degree in Management by correspondence. In 2019, he joined the army and then signed a contract. He served in the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He was the commander of an anti-aircraft missile platoon. During his military service, he proved himself positively, excellently performed his duties, and was respected by his colleagues and subordinates. He had a good level of motivation, tried to maintain high morale in the unit, and endured intense workloads. "He was a good, sensitive, and caring son. He loved everything to be fair," said his mother Svitlana. "Serhii had many friends and always came to help. He was an honest, decent, responsible, kind, and energetic person, a true patriot, an example of indomitability and strong spirit, willpower, and unbreakability," added the Ichnianskа community. The defender was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree, the medal "Defender of Ukraine," the MOD distinction "Cross of Honor," the distinction of the operational-tactical group commander "Lyman," and posthumously awarded the badges "Badge of Honor" and "Cross of Valor." Serhii was buried in his native village. The warrior is survived by his parents and a younger brother.
