Serhii V. Pyrih (Borzyi)

Serviceman Serhii Pyrih (call sign Borzyi) was killed on January 16, 2024, in the village of Verbove, Zaporizhia region. During the performance of a combat mission, he came under mortar fire from the occupiers. The defender was 32 years old. Serhii was born in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. He studied at the Kyiv Higher Vocational School of Construction and Architecture. He obtained the qualifications of plasterer, tiler, and painter. In civilian life, he worked as a laborer in the company "Nyva Pereiaslavshchyny". In his free time, he adored taking care of the garden. He lived in the village of Hlanysiv, Kyiv region. In October 2023, Serhii was drafted into military service. He held the position of commander of the anti-tank section of the fire support platoon of the airborne company of the 87th separate airborne battalion. Brother, thank you for being my support, for everything you did for me. You are forever in my heart, I love you," wrote his sister Alina Kyrylenko. The warrior was buried in the village of Hlanysiv. Serhii is survived by his parents, wife, son, daughter, sister, and nephews.
