Serhii V. Pyvovarchuk (Rudyi)

40-year-old soldier Serhii Pyvovarczuk (call sign Rudyi) was killed on August 11, 2024, while performing a combat mission near the village of Nevske in Luhansk region. The warrior sustained a mine-explosive injury incompatible with life. A day earlier, he sustained a severe concussion as a result of the enemy's UAV attack, but did not leave his position. erhii was from Kyiv. He worked at the pharmaceutical company "Optima Farm". ince July 2024, as part of the 120th battalion of the 112th separate brigade of the territorial defense, he carried out combat missions near the village of Nevske in Luhansk region. Despite constant enemy shelling from various types of weapons, the warrior, together with his comrades-in-arms, stubbornly held the defense at the position of the "Yu2" unit. With his confident actions, he systematically ensured the fulfillment of tasks to fire on the enemy. During the performance of combat missions, he proved himself as a courageous and confident military serviceman. He was awarded certificates during his training at the training center. Serhii was limited in his suitability for service, he could have not gone to serve. But he went as a volunteer, and no one could stop him. In the last conversation with his mother, his brother said: 'Mom, I finally found myself, I'm a soldier.' He loved his godchildren very much, was a caring son and a sensitive person," his sister Tetiana said. The defender was buried at the Bortnychi cemetery in Kyiv. Serhii is survived by his mother, sister, brother, nephew, and two godchildren.
