Serhii V. Savenko (Siedoi)

Soldier Serhii Savenko (call sign Sjedoy) was killed on December 6, 2022 in the village of Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region. The defender sustained multiple shrapnel wounds on the battlefield during a mortar attack. Serhii was 44 years old. He was born and lived in Kyiv. He studied at school No. 158, and then graduated from college. He worked in construction and various security organizations. His last civilian job was as a security inspector at the Nova Linia supermarket. During the full-scale invasion, the man defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 21st separate special purpose battalion. "Having lost my beloved husband, I lost my soul... We lived in a happy marriage for 19 years. I will forever remember my angel," wrote his wife Tetiana Savenko. The warrior was buried at the Lisovyi Cemetery in Kyiv. The defender is survived by his mother, wife, son, and daughter. Posthumously, Serhii Savenko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
