- Junior Sergeant Serhii Shevtsov (call sign Sheva) was killed near the village of Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. On July 24, 2023, he was carrying out a combat mission when enemy shelling began. Serhii was 38 years old. He was born in the city of Kostopil, Rivne region. He graduated from the Velykolubaske school. He served his conscription in the army. He worked as a construction worker abroad. He was interested in football and loved fishing. He lived in the village of Velyka Liubasha. He had many dreams, including wanting to build a house for his family and go on vacation with his wife and son to France. When the full-scale war began, Serhii was working abroad, but he decided to return home. In March 2023, he was mobilized. At the front, he served as part of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He held the position of squad commander. "Courageous, kind, positive. He never gave up and always found a way out of any situation. A loving and good father who taught a lot, supported and always helped his little son in everything. A reliable, gentle and beloved husband who, despite everything, was a strong support and support for the family, a true defender," his wife Oksana said. The warrior was buried in the cemetery in the village of Velyka Liubasha. The defender left behind his wife Oksana and son Davyd. Posthumously, Serhii Shevtsov was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree and the medal "For the Defense of the Native State".
