Serhii V. Snitko

Sniitko Serhiy Vitaliyovych was born on June 15, 1973, in the village of Ivanivka, Malyn district, Zhytomyr region. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was called up for mobilization. He served in the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He held the position of commander of the management section of the platoon management of the commander of the battery of the 1st Reactive Artillery Battery of the Reactive Artillery Division of the Brigade Artillery Group. He was killed on March 12, 2022, in the settlement of Makariv, Kyiv region, as a result of an airstrike and shelling. Serhiy Sniitko was buried on March 17, 2022, in his native village of Ivanivka, Malyn urban territorial community. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath, Serhiy Vitaliyovych Sniitko was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the 3rd degree.
