Serhii V. Tiemnikov (Shakhtar)

Sergeant Major Serhii Temnіkov (call sign Miner) was killed on May 14, 2024, as a result of the downing of an enemy drone near the village of Ivanivka, Kharkiv region. The defender was 53 years old. Serhii was born in the village of Bohynivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He received his professional education at the Petropavlivsk Vocational and Technical School. After studying, he worked as a tractor driver, and later got a job at the Dniprovska mine. He loved fishing and found rest and peace in it. He had a family that was his whole world, his support and strength. During the full-scale war, he defended the country as part of the 43rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, holding the position of platoon commander. "The best dad and grandfather in the world. A person who, despite everything, supported, protected, dreamed and loved. Always prudent and brave, kind and sincere, hardworking and determined. His support was and is irreplaceable, his teachings are effective and vital. A dad with whom it's easy, but without him it's hard and painful," said the eldest daughter of the fallen Yuliia. The defender was buried in his native village. Serhii is survived by his wife, two daughters and a grandson.
