Serhii V. Tonkopriadko (Shmiel)

Soldier Serhii Tonkopriadko (call sign Shmel) was killed on April 10, 2023 near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. On April 26, the warrior would have turned 39 years old. Serhii was from the village of Ivnytsia in the Zhytomyr region. After graduating from the rural school, he entered the Zhytomyr Automobile Technical School. He served his conscription military service and returned to Zhytomyr. He got married. He worked in business. In his free time, he loved to go fishing. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces, and later became a serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 75th separate battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was a grenade launcher. "I can talk about a wonderful husband and father for whole days. Wings are clipped, I cry every day. We miss him very much and it's very difficult. He was very, very kind... He was firing until the last cartridge. He was captured. Without surrendering his positions and comrades, he was tortured and shot," said the widow of the fallen Valentyna. The National Guard soldier was buried in his native village. At home, Serhii was awaited by his mother, stepfather, sister, wife and son.
