- 33-year-old Serhii Tsyhanchuk (call sign Sonny) was killed on July 2, 2023 near the village of Lyman Pershyi in the Kharkiv region. During the performance of a combat mission, he sustained numerous fatal injuries to his body. Serhii was born and lived in the city of Horodyshche, Cherkasy region. He attended the local school No. 2. Then he obtained the profession of a lathe operator at the Horodyshche Vocational Lyceum. He worked at a tire service. He was interested in cars. He loved to travel with his family. At the beginning of the full-scale war, on March 1, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the 20th Separate Rifle Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took the position of a sapper in the engineering and sapper platoon and went to the front. Together with his comrades, he fought in various directions: Bakhmut and Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk and Popasna in Luhansk region, Kupiansk and Chuhuiv in Kharkiv region. During his service, he was awarded the honorary badge "For Excellence in Military Service" of the III degree. "My beloved was a very kind and bright person, a person of honor, dignity and justice. He always kept his word, was strong and courageous. He came to the aid of those who needed it. He was a strong and reliable shoulder and support for our family. He was the best dad and an example for his little son and the best loving husband. He was and remains for me a whole world. He is our Hero, we are very proud of him!" - said the wife of the fallen soldier Yana. The warrior is buried at the Polish cemetery in his hometown. Serhii is survived by his parents, wife, son, sister, grandmother and grandfather.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
