- Marine Sergeant Serhiy Vynnytskyi was killed on May 27, 2022, near the village of Bilohirka in the Kherson region. After saving a comrade, he returned to the battlefield and received a fatal injury during enemy artillery shelling. Serhiy was from Odessa. He received secondary education at Odessa School No. 107. Then he mastered the profession of a painter-plasterer at a local vocational school. He worked as a builder in Ukraine and abroad. He was fond of football. In the first days of the full-scale war, the man went to the military commissariat with a desire to join the army. On March 1, he joined the 35th separate brigade of the Marine Corps named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi. "My uncle was a kind, honest and sensitive person, and this is proved by his heroic act. During the crossing of the Inhulets River, he saved a friend, carried him on himself and returned to perform a combat mission, where he was killed... He loved his Motherland, was not a military man and a conscript, but this did not prevent him from standing up to defend his Motherland from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian occupiers and joining the Marine Corps," said Diana Mishurina. The hero was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in the village of Molodizhne, Odessa region. Serhiy left behind his mother, sister, daughter, niece, other relatives, friends and comrades. Posthumously, Sailor Serhiy Vynnytskyi was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
