Serhii V. Vruchynskyi

Defender Sergiy Vruchynskyi was killed on June 11, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Vrubivka in Luhansk region. The life of the 30-year-old fighter was cut short by enemy artillery fire. Sergiy was from Novohrad-Volynskyi (now Zviahel) in Zhytomyr region. He finished school and vocational school there. From 2010 to 2018, he served in the 30th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. When the Russian-Ukrainian war began in 2014, Sergiy, as part of his brigade, took part in the ATO / OOS in Donbas. In 2019, he was discharged from the army, got married, and moved to Ivano-Frankivsk. He worked as a sales manager. With the start of the full-scale war, Sergiy returned to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This time he defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 108th battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. He held the position of senior sergeant for material support. "We lived together for too short, but infinitely happy 3 years. Family was always Sergiy's top priority. We dreamed that after the victory, we would raise our son together. The war destroyed everything, unfortunately... We love you and miss you," said Sergiy's wife, Yulia. The serviceman was buried on the Alley of Glory of the city cemetery in Chukalivka village near Ivano-Frankivsk. Sergiy left behind his mother Nelia, father Volodymyr, sister Tetyana, wife Yulia, and son Dmytryk, who was born two months after his father's death.
