- Sergeant Serhii Yevtushenko died on May 16, 2022 while performing a combat mission near the town of Zolote in the Luhansk region. The defender was 38 years old. Serhii was born in the town of Bilovodsk in the Luhansk region, studied at the local Lyceum No. 1. He graduated from the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. In 2003-2004, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participated in the parade for the Independence Day of Ukraine. Later, he completed the full course of the "Universal Massage Therapist" program at the Academy of Professional Education of Beauty Industry Specialists "Partner-Plus". With the start of the full-scale invasion, Serhii joined the territorial defense forces. He served as part of the separate battalion of the territorial defense of the 111th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "The best way to tell what Serhii was like is to say what he did for me. He taught me to never give up. He taught me to be brave, to insist on my own, to speak loudly, to be bold... because saints fight for themselves and others so that they can be heard. I learned from Serhii the risk and to go all-in, because life may not be on the other side... Next to him was always his shepherd dog, which he cared for very much. Treatment, premium-class food for Runa, when he could save on anything for himself. Because such people sacrifice themselves for others. Perhaps he had some individual flaws. Of course, they are in everyone, because saints are ordinary people. Courage, sacrifice, compassion, humanity - these are the traits that distinguish our Heroes among ordinary people. Rest in peace, dear... You are forever in our hearts," said the defender's friend Anna. The hero was buried in the Mars Field of the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. Serhii is survived by his mother, sister, nephews, friends and his faithful companion - the German shepherd Runa.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
