Serhii V. Zhytskyi

Zhytskyi Serhii Vasylovych was born in 1986 in Kyiv. After graduating from the Cherkasy Polytechnic College, he worked in the service sector in Cherkasy. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Eastern Ukraine. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he took up the defense of his native land. He was a senior rifleman of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. On May 3, 2022, he was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. He was killed on July 8, 2022, during an artillery bombardment near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. He was buried in Cherkasy.
