Serhii Ye. Kushniruk (Dobryi)
3 July 1969 – 11 July 2014Luhansk region – Luhansk region

Biography
Sergiy Kushniruk was born and raised in the Luhansk region, graduated from the Alchevsk Mining and Metallurgical Institute, specializing as an engineer-technologist in underground mining of mineral deposits. He spent most of his life in Luhansk. His first combat baptism occurred during his service in the Soviet army — he became an involuntary participant in the bloody events of 1988 in Sumgait (the Sumgait pogrom — ethnic riots in the Azerbaijani city of Sumgait from February 27 to 29, 1988, accompanied by mass violence against the Armenian population, looting, murders, arson, and destruction of property). He served in the internal troops. After demobilization, he went to work in the police (in a special unit). Then he joined the special forces unit "Berkut," where they fought against armed groups and rescued hostages. This was during the troubled 90s, amid the rise of banditry in the region. In "Berkut," Sergiy received the call sign "Good," which stayed with him forever. In the early 2000s, he worked in security, where he rose from a guard to the deputy director of a security company. He then organized and headed a private security enterprise. Sergiy had a talent for leadership; he knew how to unite people around him and lead them towards achieving set goals. Alongside his work, Sergiy headed the regional department of the All-Ukrainian public organization "Ukrainian Rescue Service." He dreamed of restoring the work of rescuers. In May 2014, he volunteered for "Aidar."Military service
